Travel plans

So we have decided that when we set sail we will be heading North! We were considering going South, but we feel that because we are new to this, it might be more prudent to stay in the US. We close on Monday, and we can stay in Florida for 90 days before we have to leave the state, although we won't stay that long.

Dahlia crawling

Since I have not mentioned anything about Dahlia, she just started crawling 3 days ago. It's amazing watching kids grow up, you go from thinking your child will never sit up, babble, crawl, etc...and then once they do, it is as if they could always do those things.

Deason hauling up the dinghy

Deason had a blast on the sea trial, he hauled up the dinghy all by himself. He has to work on his muscles a little, but that will come with more hauling. Our broker gave him some good humored cheering on!

The haul out

This is a video taken on my phone...not the best quality, but gives you an idea of how big the boat is. I am a little intimidated.

Survey and Sea Trials

Well....we decided to live on a boat!!! Sold the house, and everything in it, drove to Florida in search of our new home. We played around with the idea of living on a boat, and when we got here and started looking around we realized that it could actually be a real possibilty. It had only been a few weeks before we found "Dream" a Lagoon 410 catamaran that we knew right away that she was the one for us. This is Deason. He was captaining the ship on our way to the haul out. It was pouring rain, and freezing cold, yet he refused to leave his post. The survey and sea trials went well, especially once the sun came out. We now await the closing on May 3.
